Emma Arrowsmith is currently serving as Regional Chief of Risk Management (programmes & operations) for the Middle East and North Africa Regional office at the UNICEF with18 years of experience in programme and grant management. Priority to joining UNICEF, she was an executive at the US Network company, Frontiir Co. Ltd, where she served as The Vice President of Strategic Operations, leading on HR of the 2400+ employees, External and Government Relations, Communications, Environmental Social & Governance (ESG standards) and Development Projects. Her public sector experiences include Country Rep of PATH (US health technology INGO), Head of Program for the 3MDG Fund at UNOPS, London Contraception Programme Manager for the UK's Pan-London Sexual Health Program, Strategic Commissioner for Health and Social Care Services (HIV/Sexual Health) for the British National Health System. Emma holds a PhD from Imperial College of the University of London, a Master’s in Public Policy from the National University of Singapore where she was a Temasek Scholar from 2001-2003, and a BSc in Economics and International Development from Utah State University in the USA. In addition to the research articles in medical journals PLOS ONE, The Cochrane Review, and the Contraception, she has authored numerous government publications in the UK on public policy and state commissioning.
