Hussien Muhsen is an environmental and climate change practitioner that has 15 years of national and regional experience in climate change policy, sustainable development, energy policy, environmental programs, as well as nature conservation. Hussien worked closely with government and non-government organizations in West Asia, Middle East, and North Africa and has extensive knowledge on the social, economic and environmental challenges in those regions. Before Joining UN-Habitat, Hussien worked with GIZ, Friedrich Ebert Foundation, Birdlife International, and the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature. Currently, Hussien holds the position of the Regional Project Manager for the Climate Change project at UN-Habitat.
Hussien holds an MSc degree in Environmental Science and Management, Faculty of Science from University of Jordan, and BSc. degree in Water and Environment Management, Faculty of Natural Resources and Environment from the Hashemite University in Jordan.
