Bio
Toni Ayrouth is currently working with ILO as Programme Officer in the Regional Office for Arab States mainly on countries such as Syria, Iraq and Occupied Palestinian Territories where he promotes International Labour Standards to protect the rights of vulnerable individuals. He has been working with international organizations for the past 15 years and was involved in the response to the Syrian Refugee Crisis since its beginning. As a Lawyer, he previously managed a Legal Unit to provide assistance for Syrian Refugees and contributed to the coordination of the Protection Sector at the National level as Associate Coordination Officer with UNHCR. With UN OCHA and the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office, he supported the Humanitarian Country Team and UN Country Team with Interagency coordination. He has a Law degree and a Masters in Diplomacy and Strategic Negotiations from La Sagesse and Paris Sud 11 University.
