Mr. Ryosuke Teraoka is a Japanese national and has a Bachelor in Law, and a Master in Education and Development. He is the Head of Kurdistan Region of Iraq Office based in Erbil, Iraq. He is also in charge of multiple complex projects as the Project Manager. He has joined UN-Habitat Iraq in 2020 as Programme Management Officer – Human Settlements.
He has more than 15 years of professional experience in international development specializing in programme/project management & development in humanitarian aid field in Anglophone and Francophone countries of the Middle East and Africa. Prior to joining UN-Habitat Iraq, he worked with the UN World Food Programme (WFP) for two years based in Bamako, Mali, being responsible for school feeding programme. He had also worked with British and Japanese consulting firms for more than eight years.
