During the above period I was working in the areas related to the human settlements, housing and HLP
related issues.
Since 2006 to September 2016, As Head of Regional Office of the (UN-HPD and KPA) I was managing
various projects, related to human settlements, such as providing shelter/housing needs based on
humanitarian needs and also maintaining the allocation of the housing for the people in need.
In my assignment I have the following functions: Deputy Head of UN-Habitat Iraq, Programme Manager where I manage 4 different projects (including one in Yemen) and Chair the Housing-HLP Sub Group/Durable Solution.
-Lead, develop, implement and evaluate large programmes, review documents, develop project proposals and draft reports.
-Provide consultation and collaborate closely with clients and donors, including resoruce mobilization.
- Develop and prepare action plan to manage the projects and maneg the changes.
- Coordinate activities at national level and also enaged directly on policy development.
-Organize and prepare prorgamme written outputs.
- Plan and lead UN-Habitat's initiatives related to Housing, HLP, urban recovery and Humman Settlments related
-Chair the Housing-HLP Sub group, and other coordination mechanisms related to HLP.
-Provide support as backstoping officer, and participate in differet meeting, conferences and workshops.
