Dr Eman Abdelkreem Aly, Technical Officer Information System for Health and Civil Registration and Vital statistics, Department of Science Information and dissemination in the Eastern Mediterranean Region of the World Health Organization
Twenty years extensive experience in the field of Epidemiology and Statistics methods, Surveillance and Monitoring public health programs. With current position in WHO she provides technical support for developing Health information Systems using global standards and tools. Strengthening electronic information system for timely capture of deaths and accurate identification of causes of death, coding UCOD using ICD versions (ICD10 – ICD11), promoting use of WHO family of international classifications of disease and health interventions. Provide guidance to MS on implementation of Integrated Disease Surveillance system, implementation of household and facility assessment surveys and review and document information system for health and SDG indicators attributes and gaps with developing recommendation for scaling up
Before joining WHO she led the Field Epidemiology Training Program in Egypt as program coordinator and as a consultant for the same program in Saudi Arabia MOH, participated in development of communicable and non-communicable disease surveillance systems, mange design and implementation of outbreak investigation, surveys and Epi-studies in several countries in MENA region
Dr Eman is medical doctor and holds a Doctor of Public Health and Epidemiology from Ain Shams University of Egypt, Board of Applied Epidemiology and Diploma of Field Epidemiology program FETP, Atlanta CDC
