Bio
Dr. Hala Youssef, A Professor of Public Health at Cairo University Medical School. She is currently working with UNFPA Arab States Office in Cairo as the Regional Sexual and Reproductive Health Adviser. She also held the position of The Population and Development Adviser at ASRO 2017-2022. In 2013-2014, Professor Youssef was the Director of the Egyptian National Population Council (NPC) leading on the National Egyptian Strategy for Population and Development 2015-2030. In 2014, she was a member of the advisory council on community development to the President of Egypt. In 2015, she was appointed as the Minister of State for Population in Egypt. Dr. Hala enriched her expertise through working as a professor, mentor and a researcher on population and sexual and reproductive health studies with renown publications at both national and international levels.
