I have over 15 years of experience working with IOM in programme development and design, policy analysis, donor liaison, training, strategic planning exercises, advocacy, representation and fundraising for a wide range of IOM’s activities and sectors particularly related to Emergencies, Transition, Recovery and Post Crisis, Resettlement and Complementary Pathways. I worked closely with country offices and have been supporting missions in Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, South Sudan, Myanmar, Thailand, Niger, Kenya, Ethiopia, Turkey and Ukraine amongst others. I previously worked as the Humanitarian Affairs Officer in the Humanitarian, Peace and Security team in IOM NY where I focused on the MENA, Horn of Africa, Southern Africa and part of Europe and Asia and worked on a daily basis with UN HQ entities mainly OCHA, the Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA) as well as UN AFPs in NY.
