Before joigning ESCWA in 2012 as senior economist chief of regional integration section I served 7 years at UNECA as P3 and P4 in trade division, four years as research scientist in Kuwait managing a national project on developing planning and simulation tools for the ministries of finances and planning, 2 years at the OECD as economist working on trade liberalization between Arab and EU countries and 2 years at the university of Montpellier France. Again before joigning ESCWA I led more than 50 projects with multiple donors mainly OECD EU WORLD BANK UNIDO ERF API GDN AfDB GDN IDRC and published more than 50 papers in international refereed journals and edited books. My major areas of expertise are international trade, modeling trade and economic policies, partial and general equilibrium models, trade and climate change, trade and poverty..
