Bio
Holds a first degree in Statistics and Economics, master’s degree in Statistics and a Diploma degree in Development planning Techniques. Has a long experience in socio-economic issues and statistics. I started her career in ESCWA Statistics Division (SD) as a team leader of Trade and Transport Statistics Team and later a team leader of Social and Demographic Statistics Team, have worked in Economic Development and Globalization Division (EDGD) in ESCWA as a First Economic Affairs officer for three years dealing with transport and trade facilitation issues. I have been involved in a number of capacity building activities during my assignments in SD, and EDGD in various areas of statistics, economics and social issues, including international trade, e. commerce, transport, population, poverty, labour, employment, social indicators, trade facilitation, single window for trade facilitation, supply chains and aid for trade, integrated economic statistics, short term economic indicators as well as sustainable development goals. I have a notable experience in project formulation, management, and monitoring. Currently, I am responsible for the disability program in ESCWA, under cluster: Gender Justice, Population and Inclusive Development, C 2, dealing with disability inclusion policy in various aspects, including inclusive employment policy.
