Performed multiple tasks since 2004 at ESCWA:
a) Economic affairs officer, April 2004 to October 2010:
1- Capacity building in trade policy and negotiations
2- Conducted research on trade issues of interest for the Arab countries
3- Participated in publications including the survey on economic and social developments in the Arab region
4- led a DA project on trade facilitation
5) Organized IGMs, seminars and training workshops
6) Provided technical assistance to member countries in the area of trade policy and negotiations
b) Trade Statistician: from Oct 2010 till the present:
1) Published two annual bulletins on industrial statistics and external trade of the |Arab region
2) Developed databases in -house on industrial and trade statistics
3) Published external trade profiles for the Arab region (2019-2019)
4) Organized many meetings on industrial and trade classifications to develop statistics in the Arab region (ISIC, CPC, HS)
5) developed partnerships in data collection and publication with UNSD, UNIDO and AIDMO
6) Developed a detailed portal for external statistics of the Arab region and trade indicators
7) Provided technical assistance in industrial and trade classifications
8) Participated in IGMs related to trade statistics and policy
