Bio
Federico Cocchioni is an Senior Informaiton Systems Officer of the UN Secretariat and the former Chief Technology Officer at the UN’s Regional Commission for Western Asia, as well as in the UNMEE and UNMEE peacekeeping missions. Federico has led dynamic teams of IT experts that deliver innovative software solutions to streamline the processes within the UN, including as Chief Information Management in the HR Division of Peacekeeping in New York Headquarters. He holds over 20 years of experience leading key functional improvements while in the Organization, updating the IT services and leading the Information Management strategy across New York Headquarters, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Sudan, Thailand and Lebanon. Currently, Federico is part of a Team within ESCWA's "Statistics, Technology and Information Society Cluster", working on project about Data Innovations, ICT readiness and resilience in the regional public sector, as well as projects exploring the power of emerging digital technologies to develop public services in the Arab region.
