Bio
Mona Fattah is a Social Affairs Officer focusing on inequality and social protection at Cluster 2 on Gender Justice, Population, and Inclusive Development at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (UNESCWA).
Ms. Fattah is currently a member of the Social Protection Team in charge of the UNESCWA Comprehensive Social Protection Reform Support Programme. She also acts as the Coordinator of the ESCWA initiative “Josour” addressing youth unemployment in the Arab region. She brings over 17 years of experience with UNESCWA focusing on socio-economic and sustainable development issues supported by an academic background in project management, and ten years of managerial experience in the private sector where she served also as special assistant to the CEO who was a Minister for two terms and a member of the parliament in Lebanon for two cycles.
Ms. Fattah holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and an Executive Master’s degree in Business Management (Project Management), both from the Lebanese American University, Beirut. Ms. Fattah is pursuing her Doctorate Studies in Business Administration (DBA) - Project Management at Walden University, Washington, USA.
