Bio
I have over 18 years of experience at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (UN-ESCWA). I am currently serving as an Economic Affairs Officer at the Shared Economic Prosperity Cluster at ESCWA.
I have a variety of skills and expertise particularly in terms of socioeconomic analysis, policy formulation, data analysis and resource mobilization. I also possess analytical skills and an extensive experience in capacity building in the Arab region. I have contributed to numerous reports, papers, flagship publications and projects focused on the Arab region. I have extensive experience in financing for development, foreign direct investment, investment agreements, taxation and double taxation avoidance, mobilizing domestic and international resources, debt management and debt swap, climate finance, climate change and disatser risk reduction, water resources management, programme management and evaluation.
My overall experience at ESCWA has endowed me with organizational capabilities, clear drafting and presentation abilities, and communication skills with external and governmental bodies. I am an autonomous and result-oriented professional capable of delivering results.
I also hold a Masters degree in Financial Economics from the American University of Beirut, and I am fluent in three official languages (English, French and Arabic) and proficient in Spanish, and always eager to learn, and explore new fields.
