Bio
Dr. Mohamed Hedi BCHIR is the chief of the Modeling and Forecasting Section at UNESCWA, He is leading a number of research activities covering some urgent challenges in the region. Such as the economic impacts of conflicts. He participated to the assessment of the Impact of the Conflict on Syrian Economy and a joint paper with the World Bank that assessed the Impacts of the Libyan crisis on the Tunisian economy.
M. BCHR held PhD in Economics from the university of Pantheon Sorbonne. Before joining UNESCWA, he was a senior economist at the world Bank, a principal economist at the African Development Bank and economist at United Nation Economic Commission for Africa.
