Lize Denner is an Associate Programme Management Officer in the Cluster on Statistics, Information Society & Technology of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA). She is a researcher in the field of technology and innovation for development, currently focusing on the Arab region. Recent fields of work include open government, innovation in the public sector, digital transformation and e-accessibility.
Previously she was with the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) working as Associate Information Management Officer and the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) as Associated Librarian. Ms. Denner is a professional information and knowledge manager and holds a master’s degree in Information Science from the University of Stellenbosch and a Advanced University Diploma in Disaster Management in South Africa.
