Nathaniel Martin is an Associate Economic Affairs Officer in the Shared Economic Prosperity Cluster at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia. His research focuses on debt and fiscal policy in the Arab Region. He assisted with developing the Social Expenditure Monitor tool and contributed to the report on Social Expenditure Monitor for Arab States, jointly produced by ESCWA, UNDP, and UNICEF. Nathaniel has previous experience as an Associate Economist at Moody's Analytics, focusing on econometric forecasting. Nathaniel holds a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Economics from Cornell University. His technical skills include Python, R, SQL, and Stata proficiency, and he speaks English and French.
